Dr. Juan Diaz grew up in El Paso, TX, as the child of hardworking immigrants. He was the first in his family to attend college, and in 2013 he earned his Bachelor of Science in Integrative Biology from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Having a long-time interest in medicine, Dr. Diaz sought to combine this focus with his enduring love for animals. Following graduation from Texas A&M - Corpus Christi, he earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University in 2017, again graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Dr. Diaz has since fostered a special interest in internal medicine, cardiology and dentistry. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Medical Association of Bexar County. Dr. Diaz is fluent in both English and Spanish.

When not in the hospital, Dr. Diaz enjoys spending time with his wife, also a Veterinarian, his two sons, their Aussie, Willoughby, their Pittie, Petunia, and their two cats, Asiago and Eevee. He loves traveling, visiting both to see his family in El Paso, and his wife’s family in the Northeast, and can often be found outdoors: hiking, exploring, or simply watering his gardens while listening to endless Podcasts on the latest world news, advances in Vet Med, or, true crime. Dr. Diaz looks forward to meeting you and the pets that make your families complete.
