At Northern Oaks Bird & Animal Hospital, all pets are assessed by a technician and receive a complimentary nail trim and anal gland expression. If fleas are located, pets are treated immediately so your dog will never contract parasites here. They are monitored closely for appetite and activity during their stay with us. Should any medical concerns arise during your pet’s stay, feel confident that your pet will be promptly treated. Please feel free to visit with your pet at any time.
Additional playtimes and a pre-departure bath are available to help your pet have an exceptional vacation and return feeling and looking their best.
What Are The Boarding Options for My Dog?
- Kennel Boarding
- Hospital Kennel Boarding (for pets needing more observation)
- Medical Boarding (providing injectable medications, SC fluids, etc.)
- Spacious Run Boarding (with a skylight and glass doors for a view)
Our dog boarding area has large runs and smaller kennels depending on whether your dog prefers space or a cozy nest. Each run features a raised bed and glass door. The area is bathed in light from a window and skylight we discovered during renovations. Your dog will enjoy music that has been scientifically proven to be calming for dogs' ears during the time they vacation with us. Their walk and yard times are in a beautifully manicured yard with a tree, K9 Grass, a custom playscape and a shaded pergola so your pooch can run and play or rest in the shade. We provide a special intestinal diet so pets will have a smoother transition staying with us and, hopefully, avoid any stress related issues. Since your dog will be boarding in a medical facility, should any medical needs occur, our caring staff will immediately attend to your dog's needs and contact you to keep you updated.
What Does My Dog Need in Order to Board?
Boarding dogs require proof of current Rabies vaccination, DHPP/L, Bordetella/Parainfluenza, Flu Combo and a Negative Fecal parasite exam. Should any be out of date, these can be updated upon arrival. Parasites will require treatment, whether internal or external, in order to stay in our facility.
